PRESCOTT, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's cross country team competed at the WIAC Championships on Saturday, October 28. The Blugolds took sixth out of eight teams, scoring 143 points. UW-La Crosse won the meet with a team score of 22.
Mason Shea (Sr. – River Falls, Wis.) was first in for the Blugolds, placing 10 overall in a time of 25:01.8. Next in was
Trevor LaMirande (Sr. – Dresser, Wis./St. Croix Falls) placing 29
th in a time of 25:48.7.
Rounding out the Blugolds' top five was
Jesse Peterson (Jr. – St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park) placing 34
th overall in a time of 25:52.3,
Ian Barnes (So. – Cary, Ill./Cary Grove) placing 46
th in a time of 26:05.6, and
Eric Kordus (Sr. – Mosinee, Wis.) placing 51
st in a time of 26:15.7.
The Blugold men will be back in action Friday, November 3
rd at 4:15 p.m., racing at the Luther Saga Cup in Decorah, Iowa.
