ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's cross country team competed at the Augustana Interregional Invitational on Saturday, October 14th. The Blugolds took 6
th out of 42 teams in the varsity race, scoring 218 points. In the open race, the Blugolds took 4
th out of 22 teams, scoring 101 points.
In the varsity race,
Carolyn Shult (Sr. – Augusta, Wis.) was first in for the Blugolds placing 2
nd overall in a time of 21:27.6. Following behind Carolyn was
Morgan Dahl (Sr. – Shoreview, Minn.) placing 44
th overall in a time of 22:54.8. Rounding out the Blugolds top 5 in the varsity race was
Christi Forman (Sr. – Waterloo, Wis.) with a time of 23:03.7,
Keeley Behr (So. – Aurora, Ill.) with a time of 23:15.6, and
Mikayla Hady (Sr. – Mount Auburn, Ill.) with a time of 23:17.4.
In the open race, Carrisa Prestholdt (Sr. – St. Louis Park, Minn.) was first in for the Blugolds placing 15
th overall and running a time of 24:32.7.
Ryann Wagner (So. – Lena, Wis.) was next in for the Blugolds placing 17
th overall in a time of 24:39.1.
The Blugold women will continue to build on the momentum from today's race in preparation for the WIAC Championship on October 28
th in Prescott, Wis. UW-River Falls will be this year's host for the WIAC Championship.
