WHITEWATER, Wis. (blugolds.com) The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team traveled to the University of Wisconsin Whitewater for the first conference competition of the fall season. The Blugolds fell to the Warhawks 1-8 in the first conference match up.

Results

Clare Palen (Jr.-Rochester,MN/Lourdes) and Samantha Fuchs (So.-DeForest,WI) secured the win in one doubles 8-6 against UW-Whitewaters Autumn Bruno and Kellie Ha. Blugolds Olivia Herzog (Fr.-Owatonna,MN) and Anna Lee(Fr.-Buffalo, MN) fell short in a tie break 4-7 in three doubles. There was close competiton in singles play with UW-Eau Claire's Palen playing  in one singles. The Blugolds' Morgan Dekan (So.-Altoona, WI) made it to the third set in five singles against the Warhawks Bethany Marshall.
