LA CROSSE, Wis. (blugolds.com)--The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team traveled to UW-La Crosse for another WIAC matchup. The Blugolds left victorious after defeating the Eagles 6-3.

Eau Claire split wins in the singles with La Crosse 3-3. One singles player Clare Palen (Jr.-Rochester, MN) defeated Kellie Hierl 6-1, 6-3. Samantha Fuchs (So.-DeForest, WI) also secured a win in two singles beating Susi Hu 6-2, 6-0. The last Blugold to take home a win in singles was Anna Lee (Fr.-Buffalo, MN) in four singles defeating Ani Bulbulian 6-0,6-2.
The Blugolds had a clean sweep in doubles with all three pairs beating their competition. Palen and Fuchs defaced Hierl and Kearney in one singles 8-5. In two doubles Morgan Nelson (Jr.-Beaver Dam, WI) and Ann Lee won 8-6 against the Eagles Hu and Bulbulian. Morgan Dekan (So.-Altoona, WI) and Sydney Presler (Sr.-Eau Claire, WI/Altoona) secured the sweep for the Blugolds in three doubles winning 8-3.
The Blugolds (4-1 WIAC 4-1) will host the UW-Oshkosh Titans on Saturday, October 15th with a 12PM start.
