UW-Eau Claire won the first match in convincing fashion, defeating the Yellowjackets 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-22). The second set served as the turning point in the match after a 9-9 tie was broken by a pivotal kill by Katrina Raskie (Jr.- Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest). The Blugolds would rally on a 12-4 point run and later win the set to go up 2-0.

The third set ended up in a very similar fashion as a the breaking point came after yet another 9-9 tie broken by a kill by Keagan Kinsella (Jr.- Chanhassen, Minn/Chanhassen), sparking a 5-0 Blugold run,  highlighting the final set of the match.

UW-Eau Claire would carry momentum into their second match, beating Concordia-Moorhead 3-1 (21-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-17).

After dropping six of their first eight points, the Blugolds narrowly dropped the first set 21-24, but would not be deterred, charging full steam ahead through the end of the match. Eau Claire put together a commanding rally to win the second set, taking what would be seven of the last ten points.

Sets three and four were all Blugolds, as their offense took over and never looked back. Eau Claire finished set four with confidence as sophomore Kasey Schumacher (So.- Minooka, Ill./Minooka Community) served for seven straight points, leading the Blugolds to victory.

Emily Miller (So.- Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake) led the team with 15 kills, while Talia Jaskulske (So.- Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul) recorded a boastful 20 digs on the night. The Blugolds hit .258, their season high as a team thus far.
