ASHLAND, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's basketball team notched another win Saturday, defeating Northland College 68-43.

The Lumberjacks struck first with a three to open the game; however, it would be their only lead of the game. The Blugolds quickly responded and once they took the lead, they would never surrender it.

Jack Martinek (Jr. – New Brighton, MN) led all scorers with 16 points while Chris Duff (So. – Walker, MN) came off the bench to add 11 for the Blugolds. Martinek also had a game-high eight rebounds.

UW-Eau Claire dominated the boards, out-rebounding Northland 50-19. The Blugolds were also an impressive 47.5 percent from the field while holding the Lumberjacks to 33.3 percent.

The Blugolds (3-2) will return to Zorn Arena Friday and Saturday as they host Buena Vista Friday night at 7 p.m. and Wartburg on Saturday at 5 p.m.
