EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's swim team hosted UW-Whitewater Saturday, falling in a close bout 123-139.

Jake McDade (Sr. Monona, Wis.) won the 1000-yard freestyle (10:15.76) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:56.95).
Dayton Miller (Fr. Rocherster, Minn.) finished first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.37) and in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.25), while also coming in third in the 200-yard individual medley (2:08.25).
Ben Fisher (So. Roselle, Ill.) won the 50-yard freestyle (22.28) and finished second in the 100-yard freestyle (49.68).
Thomas Hensen (So. Delafield, Wis.) joined in on the winning, finishing first in the 200-yard individual medley at 2:03.12, while also coming in third in both the 100-yard backstroke (55.87) the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.91).
Ryan Young (So. Lakeville, Minn.) was the final individual champion, claiming victory in the 200-yard butterfly (2:00.73), and coming in third in the 100-yard butterfly (55.08).
Nick Stern finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:43.71) while Kevin Brian (Jr. Waverly, Iowa) also came in second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.84).
Several more Blugolds finished third: Logan Coert (Cedarburg, Wis.) in the 50-yard free style (27.26), Noah Gannon (Jr. Plymouth, Minn.) in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.03) Kyle Kackman (Jr. Ostego, Minn.) in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.64), and Jacob Mehring (Jr. Eagan, Minn.) in the 500-yard freestyle (5:06.80).

Jack Kelley (Fr. Medina, Minn.), McDade, Coert, and Fisher won the 200-yard freestyle relay (3:17.39), while Henson, Fisher, Young and Coert finished second in the 200-yard medley relay (1:40.55).
The Blugolds return to action February 6-7 in the Minnesota Challenge.
