DECORAH, Iowa. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's cross country team took second place out of three teams today at the JV Cup hosted by Luther College.

The Blugolds finished with 43 points while Luther College won the title with 36 points. Augustana College came in third with 45 points.

Seven Blugolds finished 16th or better, with four finishing 10th or better. Leading Eau Claire today was Kevin Weber (Jr.-Mounds View, Minn./Irondale), who finished fourth place overall with a time of 27:11.3, while Jeremy Kieser (So.-Verona, Wis.) finished in seventh place with a time of 27:23.5.

Philip Schommer (Fr.-Kimberly, Wis.) finished in eighth place overall with a time of 27.30.1 while Charlie Daehler (Jr.-Milwaukee, Wis./Whitefish Bay) came in 10th with a time of 27:31.5.

The Blugolds will compete in the NCAA Midwest Regional in Winneconne next Saturday at noon.
