Volleyball Wins Two at Trick-or-Treat Classic

RIVER FALLS, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's volleyball team won twice at UW-River Falls' Trick-or-Treat Classic tonight.

The 19th-ranked Blugolds knocked off Rockford College (Ill.) 3-0 first before defeating UW-Superior 3-0 later in the day. Eau Claire improves to 26-6 on the season.

Against Rockford, Eau Claire picked up the win with scores of 25-22, 25-16 and 25-17. Emily Zupon (Jr.-Antigo, Wis.) led Eau Claire with eight of the Blugolds' 40 kills while Danielle Lucia (Jr.-St. Cloud, Minn./Apollo) added seven. Blair Murphy (Jr.-Hermantown, Minn.) recorded six digs to lead Eau Claire and Amanda Lessner (Jr.-Watertown, Wis.) had a match-high 22 assists.

Defeating Superior with scores of 26-24, 25-12 and 25-20, Murphy picked up a match-high 14 kills. Emily Neave (Fr.-Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) finished with 11 digs while Murphy had 10. Neave also finished with a match-leading 24 assists.

Tomorrow the Blugolds will wrap up the regular season with two more matches at the Trick-or-Treat Classic. They will face Marian University at noon and will end the day against UW-Stout at 4 p.m.
