DAVENPORT, IA - The UW-Eau Claire men's cross country team completed their season with a 13th place finish out of 37 teams at the NCAA Midwest Regional hosted by Augustana (IL) College here today at Credit Island Park.
UW-La Crosse won the regional with a team score of 63 points followed by North Central (IL) with 107 points. Both teams earned automatic births to the NCAA Championships to be held November 18. The Blugolds scored 368 points finishing ahead of Monmouth (IL).
Ted Lillie (Sr.-North St. Paul, MN) was the top Blugold finisher on the day placing 41st with a time of 25:25.4. Kevin Hall (So.-Green Bay/Preble) finished 55th in 26:00.7. Jules Miller (Jr.-Green Bay/East) ended up 69th with a time of 26:15.2. Adam Wolfe (Jr.-Marshfield) placed 91st in 26:36.6 and Chris Wirtz (Fr.-Weston/DC Everest) rounded out the scoring for the Blugolds finishing 112th.
The meet marked the final cross country meet for seniors Lillie and Peter Macky (Sr.-Grafton).
The Blugolds completed the season with an overall record of 101-61.
