Spencer Wright

    Assistant Strength & Sports Performance Coach (Football, M/W Basketball, Softball, Baseball)
Entering his first year as an Assistant Strength and Sports Performance Coach at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire in 2026-27, Wright is responsible for the strength and conditioning programming for the men's and women's basketball, baseball, and softball programs while assisting with the football program.

Prior to joining UW–Eau Claire, Wright served as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Minnesota State University, Mankato. In that role, he was responsible for the strength and conditioning programs for women's swimming and diving, women's cross country, women's tennis, and wrestling, while also assisting with volleyball, football, men's and women's basketball, soccer, and men's and women's hockey.

While earning a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a master's degree in Exercise Physiology at Minnesota State University, Mankato, Wright competed as a pitcher on the Mavericks baseball team from 2021–25. Following the 2025 season, he was recognized as an NSCA Strength and Conditioning All-American.

Spencer is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He also holds a USA Weightlifting (USAW) Level 1 Coach certification, along with CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
