Kyleigh Fanning

Kyleigh Fanning begins her first year with Blugold women’s basketball as the Associate Head Coach in 2026.

Fanning arrived in Eau Claire after ten seasons on the UW–Stout coaching staff, where she played a pivotal role in elevating the Blue Devils into one of the WIAC’s most competitive and nationally recognized programs. Her leadership contributed to 25 All-WIAC selections, six WIAC All-Defensive Team honorees, six D3hoops.com All-Region selections, and two All-Americans, while also supporting exceptional academic achievement with 91 WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll recipients and 13 CSC Academic All-District selections.

During her tenure, UW–Stout reached historic heights, including the program’s first-ever NCAA Division III Final Four appearance in 2025 following a 23–8 season and a postseason run that featured wins over nationally ranked opponents. The Blue Devils also captured the 2024 WIAC Tournament Championship, advancing to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 2006. In 2023, Stout secured a share of the WIAC regular-season title, marking the program’s first conference championship in more than 15 years.

A former Blue Devil standout herself, Fanning was a four-year player at UW–Stout from 2012–16, earning First Team All-WIAC honors as a senior and serving as a three-time team captain. She concluded her collegiate career with 821 points and 235 assists, following a decorated multi-sport career at Spencer High School. Kyleigh graduated from UW-Stout with a bachelor’s degree in applied science and received her master’s degree from Arkansas State in sports administration. Fanning resides in Eau Claire with her husband, Brandon, and their son, Ollie.
