Abigail Place enters her fifth year as the Assistant Softball Coach at UW-Eau Claire in 2025. 

Place stepped into the role as assistant coach after her four years as a Blugold starter from 2018-21. With 119 hits, 76 RBI, six home runs, and a career batting average of .337, Place was a staple in the UW-Eau Claire softball program. She earned All-WIAC status in 2019 and 2021 and second team all-region honors in 2019.

Place is a native of Naperville, Illinois.
