Braden Cousineau enters his seventh year coaching at UW-Eau Claire in 2026-27.

Under Coach Cousineau the UWEC vault squad and decathlon vaulters have seen success at both the WIAC and Division III. In 2025 the men had a freshman All-American and in 2024 the vault crew had 2 women, and 1 man qualify for the NCAA Championships. In 2022, the men’s vaulters collected four individual All-American finishes (including a National Runner-Up) en route to their two team titles. They also have had three different WIAC Champions since 2022. In total since 2021, UWEC vaulters have accomplished 1 National Runner-Up, 5 Individual All-Americans, 7 School Records Broken and 3 WIAC Conference Champions. Braden was a member of the UW-Eau Claire Track & Field team from 2017-2020 with a person best of 14’10” in the pole vault.
