Why did you choose Eau Claire?

I loved the campus and the community here from the day I visited. I knew that continuing my athletic career here would help me grow as an athlete, from the training program to the amazing staff. I also knew that outside of practice, campus has all the resources I need to succeed in academics as well.

Why do you choose to play Division III?

I choose to play DIII because of the love I have for my sport and the community. the DIII running community feels like a family, we all support each other and are here because we love to run and compete. I wouldn't want to compete in any other division, it really feels like a community here and it's a place where I can grow as an athlete. When I graduate there's a whole community of runners out there still competing because of the love they found for their sport in DIII and I'm so proud to be a part of that legacy.

Who is your role model/mentor? Why are they important to you?

Dan Schwamberger. The dedication he has to running and the amount of experience he has is inspiring. He continues to evolve his training over time, while still sticking to his training philosophy. He still emphasizes that you don't need all sorts of new equipment or testing to run well, listening to your body and being consistent in your training shows amazing results.

What is your pregame meal?
