Sally Linzmeier

Sally Linzmeier begins her fourth season working with the Blugold women’s basketball team and her second as an assistant coach in 2024-25 after a highly decorated playing career at UW-Superior.

Linzmeier ranks as the all-time scoring leader at UW-Superior and was honored as a two-time All-American by the WBCA and D3Hoops.com and the Player of the Year in the WIAC. She led the UW-Superior team to the first conference title in school history and she also served as a four-year captain. Linzmeier's jersey was hung in the Ring of Honor at the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee, following her senior year for her outstanding play. She was also three-sport letter-winner at UW-Superior, participating in basketball, softball and soccer while majoring in Math Education.

Linzmeier has helped for six years with Blugold summer camps. Previously, she coached at Chippewa Falls High School as a varsity assistant in basketball for the past seven years, and a JV3 volleyball coach for the past three years. 

Linzmeier currently teaches math at Chippewa High School and is originally from Valders, Wisconsin.
