Earned the first two All-America honors of his track and field career, placing sixth in steeplechase at outdoor nationals and eighth in the one-mile run at indoor nationals...Also earned all-region honors as part of the Blugolds' distance medley relay.

Also a member of the UW-Eau Claire Men's Cross Country team...Stepdad (Eric) ran cross country at Vermillion Community College...Came to Eau Claire because of the Actuarial Science program and the teams' history in being competitive on a national level.
