SARTELL, Minn. — The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team posted a strong second-place finish among 11 teams at the CSB Invite, finishing the two-round tournament at 44-over par on the par-72 course.
Macalester claimed the team championship, finishing 17 strokes ahead of the Blugolds. UW-Eau Claire remained near the top of the team leaderboard throughout the tournament, putting together a strong performance across both rounds.
Karalyn Skinner paced the Blugolds on the individual leaderboard, finishing tied for sixth at nine-over par. Skinner carded a four-over performance in the final round to close out the tournament among the top finishers.
Grace Raich followed closely behind, finishing 10th overall at 11-over par. Lilly Kaminski recorded a 13-over-par tournament, finishing tied for 11th. Kaminski put together a strong final round, recording three birdies to help move up the individual leaderboard.
Tally Schlindwein finished 18th overall at 17-over par, while Elizabeth Hermann rounded out the Blugold lineup with a two-round score of 19-over par.
As a team, the Blugolds finished with 44-over par for the tournament, earning their second-place finish while placing three golfers inside the top 11 of the individual standings.
UW-Eau Claire will return to the course Saturday, September 12, at the D3 Classic hosted by Gustavus Adolphus in Hastings, Minnesota. The two-day tournament is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
