MADISON, Wis. — UW-Eau Claire finished fifth out of 17 teams at the UWW Fall Invite, posting a two-round total of 649 (+73) at TPC Wisconsin. The Blugolds placed second among six WIAC schools competing in the tournament. No. 9 Pomona-Pitzer won the tournament with a score of 619 (+43).

Grace Raich led the Blugolds individually, placing ninth with a 156 (+12) after rounds of 77 (+5) and 79 (+7). The Blugolds opened with a 324 (+36) in the first round before posting a 325 (+37) in the second round.

Raich paced UWEC with her ninth-place finish, recording four birdies across the two rounds. Karalyn Skinner and Tally Schlindwein tied for 23rd at 162 (+18). Skinner carded rounds of 83 (+11) and 79 (+7), while Schlindwein posted consecutive rounds of 81 (+9) and recorded two birdies and an eagle during the tournament.

Lilly Kaminski tied for 39th at 169 (+25), recording two birdies with Elizabeth Hermann rounding out the Blugolds with back-to-back rounds of 90 (+36).

The Blugolds return to action Oct. 3-4 when they host the Georgianni Invitational in Eau Claire, Wis. The opening round will be held at Lake Wissota Golf Course on Saturday before the tournament concludes at Eau Claire Golf & Country Club on Sunday.
