ST. CLOUD, Minn. — (RV) UW-Eau Claire placed fourth at the 2026 Saint John's Fall Invitational, carding a two-round total of 600 (+24) at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course. (RV) Bethel won the tournament, finishing 14 stokes ahead of UWEC.
Spencer Lynch led the Blugolds, tying for fifth individually with a 1-over 145. Lynch opened with a 73 (+1) before closing with an even-par 72 and six total birdies. Michael Markley also closed strong, firing a 1-under 71 in the second round to finish tied for 15th at 149 (+5). The UW-Eau Claire "B" team placed 12th at 615 (+39).
The Blugolds carded a 305 (+17) in the opening round before improving by 10 strokes with a 295 (+7) in the final round to finish at 600 (+24).
Luke Taebel tied for 15th at 149 (+5), posting rounds of 75 (+3) and 74 (+2). Markley finished with a 78 (+6) in the opening round before his 71 (-1) in the final round, recording 17 pars and one birdie. Samuel Forslund tied for 50th at 13-over 157, while Johnathan Amtmann finished at 16-over 160.
The Blugolds' "B" team was led by Ryan Jamieson, who tied for 15th at 149 (+5) after rounds of 74 (+2) and 75 (+3). Bennett Madson carded consecutive rounds of 76 (+4) to tie for 28th at 152 (+8). Reis Von Ruden posted rounds of 79 (+7) and 76 (+4) to tie for 42nd at 155 (+11). Cameron Stenzel finished at 15-over 159, while Chase Van Ranst finished at 24-over 168.
UW-Eau Claire returns to action at the Grand Intercollegiate at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wis.
