SUPERIOR, Wis. — The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team captured first place at the Twin Ports Collegiate, finishing seven strokes ahead of second-place Northwestern-St. Paul at Nemadji Golf Course. UWEC tallied consistent rounds of 300 (+16) and 299 (+15) to earn the victory.

Tally Schlindwein claimed the individual championship, carding a two-day total of 144 (+2) on the par-71, 5,561-yard course. Schlindwein posted back-to-back rounds of 72 (+1) and recorded seven birdies over the two rounds to lead the field.

Karalyn Skinner finished fourth overall with a 148 (+6), including a 72 (+1) in the second round and four total birdies. Grace Raich tied for sixth at 152 (+10), highlighted by 27 pars over the weekend. Elizabeth Hermann tied for ninth with a 155 (+13) while Lilly Kaminski rounded out the Blugolds' top five, placing 13th with a 158 (+16).

UW-Eau Claire's "B" team finished seventh overall. Bailey Eddicus led the Blugolds with a 165 (+23), placing 19th individually.

The Blugolds return to action Sunday, Sept. 27, playing at TPC Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. for the UW-Whitewater Fall Invite.
