EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The Blugolds finished in first-place at the Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational (Men), totaling 584 (+12) over two rounds.

UWEC finished first at the Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational with a two-round total of 584 (+12), posting rounds of 290 (+6) and 294 (+6) at par-71 Eau Claire GCC on Sunday and par-72 Wild Ridge Golf Course on Monday. UWEC "B" team placed fourth at 601 (+29) after rounds of 295 (+11) and 306 (+18).

Michael Markley and Samuel Forslund were the top Blugolds finishers, each tying for fourth at 145 (+2) over two days. Markley shot 72 (+1) and 73 (+1), while Forslund carded rounds of 72 (+1) and 73 (+1). Spencer Lynch tied for sixth overall with rounds of 73 (+2) and 73 (+1) good for a 146 (+3) over the tournament. Karsen Kruse posted rounds of 73 (+2) and 77 (+5) for a tie for 14th overall at (+7). Luke Taebel rounded out the "A" squad with rounds of 81 (+10) and 75 (+3), good for tied for 57th overall.

The Blugold "B" team placed fourth at 601 (+29) after rounds of 295 (+11) and 306 (+18). The team was led by Ryan Jamieson who tied for sixth overall with rounds of 72 (+1) and 74 (+2), good for a 146 (+3) total. Independent A.J. Diller placed in a tie for 12th carding a (+6) while Reis Von Ruden tied for 14th overall tallying rounds of 71 (E) and 79 (+7), totaling 150 (+7).

The Blugolds travel to St. Paul, Minn., for the Minnesota Golf Classic on Sunday, Sept. 20, at Pioneer Creek Golf Course teeing off at 8:00 a.m.
