MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced the Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of November 24 - 30. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's hockey's Luke Lavery has been named the Men's Hockey Player of the Week by anonymous vote of WIAC head coaches and Sports Information Directors.

Lavery helped UW-Eau Claire upset No. 3-ranked St. Norbert College (Wis.) on Nov. 29. He opened the scoring just 1:29 into the first period to give the Blugolds the lead. After the Green Knights tied the game in the second period, Lavery netted his second goal of the game and fourth goal of the season less than two minutes after the St. Norbert goal to regain the lead for the Blugolds on their way to a 4-2 win. Lavery led UW-Eau Claire during the home and home series against the Green Knights with seven shots on goal.
