HASTINGS, Minn. (
www.blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team wrapped up their first competition of the spring on Sunday during round 2 of the Gustie Spring Invite. The Blugolds made moves throughout the day to earn a 10
th place finish as Lily Kaminski (Fr. – Green Bay, Wis./Denmark) led the way with a team low 81 strokes.
Lily Kaminski jumped up the leaderboard on the final day in Minnesota. With one birdie and eight pars, Kaminski finished the weekend tied for 39
th with a two-round total of 177.
Bri Novak (So. – Red Wing, Minn.) held the overall team low during the two-round invite for UWEC as Novak finished day two with 86 stokes and placed tied for 35
th.
The remaining three Blugolds were not far behind Kaminski and Novak as Olivia McSorely (Jr. – Elm Grove, Wis./Brookfield East) recorded an 85,
Elizabeth Hermann (Fr. – Macomb Township, Mich./Dakota) entered the clubhouse with an 86, and
Lydia Jensen (Fr. – Altoona, Wis.) totaled 90 strokes. Hermann finished tied for 42
nd overall, McSorely placed 46
th, and Jensen tied for 50
th.
The Blugolds will be back on the link on Saturday, April 20
th for the Rumble at the Ridge in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. The tournament, hosted by Bethel University, is a two-day event with tee times to be announced later in the week.
