GREENSBORO, N.C. (blugolds.com) -- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up the 2023-24 season with the final day of the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday at Greensboro Aquatic Center. The Blugold women had multiple swimmers in action on the final day of the campaign.
Molly Hosack (So. - Cedarburg, Wis.) had a strong finish to her season in the women's 1,650-yard freestyle. She came close to All-America honors, placing 18th to land two spots away from a spot on the All-America second team. She clocked in at 17:16.75 to end up in 18th and end the year on a high note.
Ella Weaver (Sr. - McFarland, Wis.) competed in the women's 200-yard breaststroke on Saturday. She finished in 2:21.45 to take 31st place and wrap up another strong season for the Blugolds.
The Blugold men had wrapped up their campaign on Friday. Both the UW-Eau Claire men and women finished the season as the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) champion. The Blugolds had two individual competitors and three relays compete in the NCAA Championships, while the men had one competitor on the big stage.
