COLFAX, Wis. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's cross country team earned its first victory at the Blugold Invite since 2021 with a first-place finish on Friday at Whitetail Golf Course. The Blugolds finished with 58 team points to top the field and pick up their first victory of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Keeley Behr (Jr. - Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) crossed the finish line first for the Blugolds, clocking in at 22:28.3 to finish in fourth overall and second among scoring runners.
- Ryann Wagner (Jr. - Lena, Wis./Gillett) also placed in the top 10, finishing ninth overall and seventh among scorers at 22:48.4. Libby Beirne (So. - Oregon, Wis.) and Molly Heidorn (So. - Colfax, Wis.) finished in quick succession next for the Blugolds, taking 18th and 22nd overall, respectively. Beirne finished in 23:15.4 and Heidorn in 23:24.2.
- Allison Weissinger (Sr. - River Falls, Wis.) rounded out the scoring for UW-Eau Claire with a run of 23:29.4, good for 27th overall.
- The team's average finish time was 23:06.

The Blugolds will be back in action on Saturday, October 19, at the Augustana Invitational in Rock Island, Illinois.
