EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team held their annual Georgianni Blugold Invitational over the weekend. The Blugolds finished the weekend strong as they finished in 8
th place out of the 11 teams entered.
Elizabeth Hermann (Fr. – Macomb Township, Mich./Dakota) led the group during both rounds with a day one low of 83 and an 88 during round two. A 22
nd place finish for Hermann was the highest placement for UW-Eau Claire.
Olivia McSorley (Jr. – Elm Grove, Wis./Brookfield East) bounced back during round two at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club with a team low of 85 on the day. McSorley finished tied for 30
th in the field of 64.
Not far behind Hermann and McSorley was
Lilly Kaminski (Fr. – Green Bay, Wis./Denmark) and
Bri Novak (So. – Red Wing, Minn.) who tied for 33
rd overall and both shot rounds of 89 and 88. Rounding out the top five for Eau Claire was
Lydia Jensen (Fr. – Altoona, Wis.) who finished 36
th overall. The Blugolds all finished the weekend with less than 180 strokes each.
The Blugolds will head back on the road next week as they travel to Hastings, Minn. for the D3 Classic hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College. Pairings and tee times from the Emerald Greens Golf Course are to be determined.
