DECORAH, Iowa (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's cross country team competed at the Luther Saga Cup on Friday, November 3. The Blugolds took first out of five teams, scoring 24 points. Wartburg was second with 31 points. It was the second year in a row UW-Eau Claire won the Luther Saga Cup.
First in for the Blugolds was
Allison Weissinger (Jr. – River Falls, Wis.) placing second overall with a time of 23:23.1. Following behind was
Kassie Bargender (Jr. – Wausau, Wis./Wausau East) placing third overall in a time of 23:29.7.
Rounding out the Blugold top five was
Anna Schueth (Sr. – Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) in fifth place with a time of 23:39.7,
Jenna Trzebiatowski (Sr. – Rosholt, Wis.) in sixth place with a time of 23:43.1, and
Marika Kisgen (Jr. – Des Moines, Iowa/Ankeny) in eighth place with a time of 24:01.4.
The Blugold women will be back racing at the NCAA North Regional in Colfax, Wis. On Saturday, November 11, at 1 p.m.
