COLFAX, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's cross country team competed at the NCAA North Regional on Saturday, November 11
th. The Blugolds took 2
nd out of 31 teams, scoring 68 points. Carleton won the meet with a team score of 48 points.
First in for the Blugolds was
Carolyn Shult (Sr. – Augusta, Wis.) placing 2
nd overall in a time of 21:07.2. Following behind Carolyn was
Ava Matejcek (So. – Mankato, Minn.) placing 12
th overall in a time of 22:06.2.
Rounding out the Blugolds top 5 was
Keeley Behr (So. - Aurora, Ill.) in 14
th place with a time of 22:11.5,
Morgan Dahl (Sr. – Shoreview, Minn.) in 19
th place with a time of 22:25.2, and
Christi Forman (Sr. – Waterloo, Wis.) in 21
st place with a time of 22:27.9. Shult, Matejcek, Dahl, Forman and Hady earned All-Region honors for placing in the top 35.
Today's North Regional race determines who will move on to the National Championship Saturday, November 18
th in Newville, Pa.
The Blugold women will find out this Sunday whether they will move on to race at the NCAA Division III National Championship.
