REEDSBURG, Wis. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team placed seventh at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship on Sunday at Reedsburg Country Club.
The Blugolds finished with a three-day score of 1,065. They posted their best collective round of the tournament on Sunday, wrapping up with a 353.
Gillian Johnson (So. - Hayward, Wis.) soared up the leaderboard by firing a 79 in the third round. She and
Bri Novak (So. - Red Wing, Minn.) were the top-finishing Blugolds, ending in a tie for 34th with matching 262s.
Cadie Ash (Sr. - Waupaca, Wis.) finished tied for 39th with a 264 at the three-day tournament.
Elizabeth Hermann (Fr. - Macomb Township, Mich./Dakota) and
Olivia McSorley (Jr. - Elm Grove, Wis./Brookfield East) were both part of a tie for 46th at 272.
Keely Morehouse (So. - Superior, Wis.) finished in 49th place with a 273.
Lydia Jensen (Fr. - Altoona, Wis.) tied for 50th at 274, and
Lilly Kaminski (Fr. - Green Bay, Wis./Denmark) finished tied for 52nd at 275.
Ash was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team.
