ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team traveled to Rock Island, Ill. for the Augustana Viking Invitational. Corey Boerner (Fr. – Bloomington, MN/Kennedy), led the Blugolds in the invitational taking first amongst all participants with a score of 68 while the team placed second out of the 17 teams. The tournament has been reduced from a two-day tournament to a one-day event due to forecast of rain Saturday.
Results
Cole Jahnke (Jr. – Stillwater, MN) also placed in the top 10 tying for 9th shooting a 71. Carson Brock (Onalaska, WI/Holmen) and Connor Brown (Racine, WI/Union) both shot in the top-25 of golfers with a 72's tying for 13th. With round score of 74 Isaac Prefontaine (Sr.-New Franken, WI/Green Bay Preble) tied at 23rd.
The Blugolds will head to New Prague Golf Course/Lesueur Country Club for the Bobby Krig Invitational on Sunday April 18th.
