NORMAL, Ill. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team began their 2021 spring season on Friday and Saturday. Led by rookie Carson Brock (Fr.-Onalaska, WI/Holmen), The Blugolds placed third out of the 20 teams that participated in the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational.

Results

In his first collegiate round for the Blugolds, Brock shot a 70 to place him tied for second after day one. The final round ended with Brock shooting a 76 to place fifth overall amongst over 100 competitors.

Isaac Prefontaine (Sr.-New Franken, WI/Green Bay Preble) also shot in the top-25 of golfers with rounds of 74 and 81.

The Blugolds will head to Highland Springs Golf Course for the Augustana Viking Invitational on Friday April 9. The day one is scheduled to begin at Noon.
