Winneconne, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's cross country team competed at the KollegeTown Invitational held at the Lake Breeze Golf Course on Saturday, October 20. The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh hosted the meet. The women's team placed 3rd out of 34 teams, scoring 100 points. Washington University in St. Louis won the meet, scoring 27 points.

The temperature was excellent for racing and the course itself was in excellent shape except for a few soft spots. The Blugolds felt prepared for the race because they had been training in similar conditions.
Lexie Tremble (Sr. – Muskego, WI) raced to finish 4th with a time of 22:12.4. Following Tremble was teammate Emma Drangstveit (Jr. – Lakeville, MN/Lakeville North). Drangstveit placed 19th with a time of 22:44.4.
Hannah Lamack (Jr. – Kewaunee, WI) finished 23rd with a time of 22:53.0. Right behind Lamack was Naomi Long (So. – Medina, MN/Wayzata). Long finished 24th with a time of 22:54.6.
Rounding out the top 5 for the women was Lizzy Cisewski (Jr. – Stevens Point, WI/Pacelli). Cisewski placed 30th with a time of 23:04.6. Teagan Monfils (Jr. – Shawano, WI) finished 52nd with a time of 23:25.7. Liz Galloway (Jr. – Mt. Prospect, IL/Prospect) was finisher number 7 for the Blugolds. Galloway finished 54th with a time of 23:27.2
The women's team will be back in action Friday, October 25 at the City Wells Invite. The Blugolds will host the meet at the Eau Claire City Well Fields.
