SANDESTIN, FL (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team competed in the first round of the Golfweek DIII Fall Invite on Sunday, with Brady Thomas (Sr. – Middleton, WI) leading the way with a 69.

Thomas' 69 has him in a tie for 9th place overall while Cole Jahnke (So. – Stillwater, MN) and Alex Rogan (Sr. - Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) are tied for 30th after shooting 72s. Isaac Prefontaine (Jr. – New Franken, WI/Preble) and Austin van Sytzama (Jr. – Delano, MN) are currently tied for 69th (77).
As a team, the Blugolds are tied for ninth overall with a one-round total of 290 (+6). Emory leads the field at 280 (-4). Illinois Wesleyan's Rob Wuethrich is the overall leader after turning in a 64.
