ST. CLOUD, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team took third place at the Saint John's Spring Invitational while three Blugolds finished in the top 10 overall.
Results
After Sunday's 298, the Blugolds shot a 302 on Monday to finish with a two-round team score of 600 (+28). The University of St. Thomas won the invite with a 595 (+23).
Nick Bauer (Jr. – Oshkosh, WI/North) was the top finisher for Eau Claire, turning in a 76 on Monday to finish at 148 (+5) and take 6th place.
Ryan Isaacson (Sr. – Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) recorded the lowest Blugold score on Monday with a 73 to finish 7th overall (149) while Isaac Prefontaine (Fr. - New Franklin, WI/Green Bay Preble) tied for 8th after turning in a 77 (151).
Brady Thomas (So. – Middleton, WI) also finished tied for 11th (152) while Alex Rogan (So. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) tied for 29th (157).
The invitational wraps up the regular season for the Blugolds who will now wait for the NCAA selections to the Division III Championship which will be held at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina May 15-18.
