MONTICELLO, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team is in second place while Nick Bauer (Jr. – Oshkosh, WI/North) is tied for the lead after the first round of the Saint John's Spring Invitational.
Round 1 Results
The Blugolds shot a 298 (+14) Sunday while the University of St. Thomas is first with a 297 and host Saint John's in third with a 299.
Bauer shot a 72 (+1) in the first round and is tied with three others at the top of the leaderboard. Isaac Prefontaine (Fr. - New Franklin, WI/Green Bay Preble) followed with a 74 and is tied for sixth while Ryan Isaacson (Sr. – Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) and Brady Thomas (So. – Middleton, WI) are tied for 16th with a 76.
The Blugolds will complete in the second and final round Monday at the Territory Golf Course in St. Cloud. Follow the action on Blugold Game Day.
