SANDESTIN, Florida (Blugolds.com) – After round two of the Golfweek Division III Invitational, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team has moved up from 15th place into a tie for 11th.
Results
On day one it was Isaac Prefontaine (So.- New Franklin, WI/Green Bay Preble) leading the Blugolds with a 71 (even) as UW-Eau Claire turned in a team score of 300. In Monday's second round, the Blugolds improved by nine strokes with a team score of 291 to bring their two-round score to 591 (+23).
Alex Rogan (Jr. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) had a strong day for the Blugolds, shooting a 70 (-1) to move into a tie for 19th (143) while Prefontaine is tied for 22nd (144). Nick Bauer's (Sr.- Oshkosh, WI/North) 70 jumped him up 18 spots and is tied for 27th (145).
Brady Thomas (Jr. – Middleton, WI) is tied for 85th (162) while Cole Jahnke's (Fr.- Stillwater, MN) 163 has him in 87th.
