SARTELL, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team is in first place after the first round of the Saint John's Fall Invitational at the Blackberry Ridge Golf Course.

Round 1 Results

Eau Claire turned in a team score of 296 (+8) as four Blugolds, Brady Hanson (Sr.-Woodbury, MN/East Ridge), Michael Immekus (Fr.-Greendale WI/Catholic Memorial), Ryan Isaacson (Jr.-Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) and Alex Rogan (Fr.-Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial), are tied for sixth place with a 74 (+2).

"I'm so proud that the men could put forth some great scores today," said Head Coach Courtney Everett. "They continue to develop as the season progresses and this is proof of that. They need to just continue playing one shot at a time to hold onto the lead. It's not over until the last putt is in the hole."

The Blugolds will play round two on Sunday at the Greystone Golf Club in Sauk Centre, Minn.
