JORDAN, Minn. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team had a fantastic final round at The Ridges at Sand Creek Golf Course in Jordan, Minn. The Blugolds were able to work themselves down into a shared sixth spot out of 20 teams.

Results

The Blugolds finished with a score of 295 (+7) in the third round making Monday their best round as a team throughout the tournament. UW-Eau Claire finished the tournament with a score of 907 (+43). Brady Hanson (Jr.-Woodbury,MN/East Ridge) shined for the Blugolds in the final round and handed in a 69 (-3) and tied for fifth place. Andrew Schmidt (Sr.-Green Bay, WI/Southwest) also had a nice day on the course, improving his round one score of 80(+8) by 10 strokes and finishing with a 70 (-2).

St. Thomas took the victory with a final score of 880 (+16) Pete Sienko and Nick Nielson continued to lead the way. Sienko finished in first recording a 215 (-1) and Nielson followed closely behind in  place marking a 216 (E) .

The Blugolds will take action next on October 11 at The Raven Golf Course for the Golfweek Invitational.
