SANDESTIN, Fla. (Blugolds.com) – After three days of competition in Florida, the UW-Eau Claire men's golf team finished in 14th place out of 18 teams at the Golfweek Fall Preview at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort's Raven Course.
Final Results
The Blugolds finished with 909 strokes while Methodist University (N.C.) and Texas-Tyler shared top honors with 869 strokes. Eau Claire scored 303 on day one, followed by 310 on day two and 296 on the final day.
Brady Hanson (So.-Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge) was the top finisher for the Blugolds, tying for 19th place with 221 strokes.
Also competing were Jake Erickson (Sr.-Chaska, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels), tied for 34th with 224, Ryan Isaacson (Fr.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial), tied for 67th with 234, Joey Dreier (So.-New London, Minn.), tied for 71st with 235, and Patrick Conroy (Fr.-Stillwater, Minn./Mahtomedi), tied for 78th with 237 strokes.
The top golfers, Anthony Maccaglia from Oglethorpe and Mason Stutler from Methodist, finished with 209 strokes. A total of 90 golfers competed in this year's event.
This was the Blugolds' final competition for the fall. They will be back in action next spring.
