UW-Eau Claire came away with a first place finish at the St. Olaf Invitational Cross Country Meet today in Northfield.
The Blugolds had a dominant meet with 97 total points and two top ten runners. There were 25 teams competing in today's meet. The home team St. Olaf placed second with 142 points, while the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (168), the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (176), and Wartburg College (189) round out the top five.
Becca Jordalh (Sr.) from UW-River Falls took first place with a time of 22:2.
The top Blugold finish belonged to Beth Lutz (Jr.-Eau Claire WI/Memorial), who was 7th with a time of 23:02. Following Lutz was Molly Warner (Jr.-Mosinee, WI) who finished 8th with a time of 23:05.
In 11th place was Mary Palmer (Jr.-Anoka, MN) who ran a 23:10. Hannah Humbach (So.-Madison, WI/Abundant Life Christian) came in 34th with a time of 23:58. To round out the top five runners for the Blugolds, Elly Prunty (So.-Antigo, WI) came in 37th with a time of 24:00.
Next up for the Eau Claire is the Blugold Invite on Friday, September 21. The meet will take place at Colfax at 4:00 p.m.
