WEST SALEM - The UW-Eau Claire women's cross country team finished fourth out of 22 teams in the Tori Neubauer Invitational at the Maple Grove Country Club.
The Blugolds gained 159 points to claim fourth place. Home team UW-La Crosse finished first with 72 teams. In second was South Dakota State, which collected 80 points. With a 121 total, University of California-Riverside was third. The fifth place team behind Eau Claire was Macalester at 199.
On the 6k course, Molly Warner (So.-Mosinee) finished 12th out of 358 competitors. She had a 22:24 time. In 20th was Rachel Anderson (Sr.-St. Paul, MN/Harding) with a 22:34 race. Running 22:54 was Jane-Marie Ovanin (Sr.-Amherst) in 32nd. Fourth for the Blugolds and 37th overall was Korah Petrasko (Jr.-Appleton/East) in 23:06. Christina Locke (Jr.-Racine/Horlick) ran 23:27 and gained 58th place.
The team maintains a stellar record after today with an 81-7 season so far.
Eau Claire runs next at home in the Lake Wissota Tri-meet next Friday. The pistol goes off at 4:00 p.m.
