EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team set or matched five personal career-highs in scoring a season-high in points as they defeated UW-Superior 93-76 here tonight at Zorn Arena.

Jessica Dickey (Sr.-White Bear Lake, MN/Cretin-Derham Hall) highlighted a strong all-around game with a career-high nine steals. Dickey flirted with a triple-double throughout the night as she finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Rachel Becker (Jr.-Gilmanton) set a career-high with 11 assists, Becca Carstensen (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) set a career-high with 14 points and Joanna Leafblad (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) matched her career-high in points with 19 and three pointers made with five.

The Blugolds and Yellowjackets battled back and forth in the opening minutes with Superior grabbing a 9-8 lead. Eau Claire took back the lead for good moments later as they went on a 10-0 run concluded by a Dickey lay-up. The Blugolds stretched the lead to 15 before going into half leading 41-31.

Eau Claire pushed their lead to 50-33 with a 9-2 run to open the second half. The Yellowjackets cut the lead to 11 but would get no closer as the Blugolds increased their lead to a game-high 23.

The Blugolds offense was working on all cylinders as they shot a season-high 55 percent from the field. Eau Claire was also solid from the charity stripe and behind the three-point line shooting 20 of 23 from the free throw line and 7 of 16 from the arc.

Liz Van Drasek (Jr.-Albertville, MN/St. Michael-Albertville) added 11 points while Emilee Planert (Sr.-Eau Claire/North) added 10. Carstensen pulled down a team-best eight boards.

The Blugolds improve to 5-5 in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play and 12-7 overall. Eau Claire moves into a three-way tie for fourth place in the WIAC as UW-River Falls and UW-Whitewater both lost.

Eau Claire will be in action next when they host UW-La Crosse Saturday as part of a doubleheader. The game is scheduled to tip off at 5 p.m.
