NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The UW-Eau Claire women's cross country team took third place out of 18 teams here today at the St. Olaf Invitational Cross Country Meet in Minnesota.
The Blugolds finished with a team score of 129 while Macalester took top honors with 67 points. St. Olaf was the runner up at the vent with 68 points.
Molly Warner (Fr.-Mosinee) paced the Eau Claire team with a time of 23:46. The time was good for third place overall.
Rachel Anderson (Jr.-St. Paul/Harding) took second place on the Blugolds and 20th overall with a time of 24:55 while Bridget Bocher (Fr.-Watertown) finished in 31st place with a time of 25:09.
Heather Lipinksi (Sr.-Thorp) and Christina Locke (So.-Racine/Horlick) rounded out the Blugold scorers with times of 25:22 and 25:35 respectively.
Sara Fredrickson of UM-Duluth was the individual champion with a time of 23:08.
The Blugolds return to action next Saturday when they will head to the University of Minnesota.
