WEST SALEM - The UW-Eau Claire women's cross country team finished 12th at the Tori Neubauer Invite held here today.
Molly Warner (Fr.-Mosinee) had the best Blugold time. Warner finished the 5-kilometer race in 23:34.5 to finish 29th. Jane Ovanin (Jr.-Amherst) was the next Blugold to cross the finish line at 24:12.8 followed by Christina Locke (So.-Racine/Horlick) at 24:17.8.
Kasey Stanek (Jr.-La Crosse/Central), Heather Lipinski (Sr.-Thorp), Cassie Haak (So.-Shoreview, MN/Mounds View) and Brittany Dick (Fr.-Amherst) all finished between 24:30 and 25 minutes.
Luther College took first overall with Wartburg's Missy Buttry finishing first overall with a time of 20:03.9.
The Blugolds will be in action next when they host the Lake Wissota Tri-Meet Friday. The race is set to start at 4 p.m.
