Soccer To Host Carleton

EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire soccer team will host Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent Carleton College Sunday at the Bollinger Fields as part of Parents Weekend.

Eau Claire enters the game with a 4-5 record following a 2-1 loss to UW-Oshkosh Friday. The Blugolds won their previous two matches 4-0 over Elmhurst and 3-0 over Luther.

Eau Claire is led in scoring by Marcia Foltz (Jr.-Madison/Memorial) with four goals and two assists for 10 points. Becky Sitter (Fr.-Waupaca) and Kelly Peterson (Jr.-Hudson) each have scored seven points on three goals and an assist.

The Knights come into the weekend with a 4-4 record following a 2-1 win over the College of St. Catherine's. Prior to the St. Kate's match Carleton suffered a 4-0 loss to Luther College and a 6-0 loss to Concordia College.

Carleton is led by freshman forward Clare O?Connor. O?Connor leads the team in goals with four and is tied for the team lead in points with 12. O?Connor has done this playing in only five matches.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 2 p.m.
