- Team finished second in the WIAC in 2008 while advancing to the NCAA Championship for the fourth consecutive season
- Blugolds won the WIAC regular season and tournament championships in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Before 2005, no team had won either championship
- Yengo received WIAC Coach of the Year honors in 2005, 2006 and 2007
- 2006 NSCAA Central Region Coach of the Year
- 2005 was the first time in program history the soccer team made
an NCAA appearance. They now have a total of four.

- Was a soccer coach at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Northfield, Massachusetts from 1992 to 1996
- Also serves as an associate lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology at UW-Eau Claire
- Married to Tracy (who also teaches in the Department of Kinesiology); Has two daughters (Danielle and Sydnee) and two sons (Zachary and Christopher)
