MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire women's gymnast Elizabeth Stubbs (Fr.-Wayzata, Minn.) has been named this week's Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week as a specialist for women's gymnastics, WIAC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek announced today.

Stubbs competed in two events as the Blugolds opened the season against NCAA Division I opponent Central Michigan University on Jan. 5.  She led the Blugolds by tying for fifth place in the floor exercise with a score of 9.675 and was the Blugolds' second-highest finisher on the balance beam as she tied for eighth with a score of 9.025.
